CASTLE VIEW STAR LTD

Privacy policy

Effective date: 28 September 2026

This policy explains how we use information from people who contact us about property consultations, opportunities and investor introductions, and how to exercise data rights.

1. Who we are

1.1 CASTLE VIEW STAR LTD (company number 16047681) is the controller of the personal information described here. Registered office: 233 Alfreton Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, England, NG17 1JP. Director: Andris Hagurs. Email: info@castleviewstar.co.uk. Telephone: 07436 109515.

2. Information we collect

2.1 When you contact us, book a consultation or submit a property, we may collect your name, contact details, property address and circumstances, ownership information, correspondence, appointment details, payment and invoice records, and documents you choose to provide. Investor enquiries may include buying criteria, areas, budget, funding position and investment preferences. We may receive relevant information from people you authorise us to speak to and from public property or company records.

2.2 Our website may collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser details, page interactions and cookie preferences. Payment card details should be handled by the payment provider; we normally receive transaction status and limited billing information, not full card details. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless necessary for your enquiry.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

3.1 We use enquiry and booking details to respond, assess whether we can help, provide consultations, administer bookings and payments, and communicate about the requested service. Our basis is steps requested before entering a contract or performance of a contract.

3.2 We use records to keep accounts, meet tax and other legal duties, and conduct identity or anti-money-laundering checks where applicable. Our basis is legal obligation. We may use relevant correspondence to resolve disputes, prevent misuse and improve our service where our legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights.

3.3 If you separately opt in to deal alerts or marketing, we use your contact details and stated interests for those messages on the basis of consent where required. You can unsubscribe or withdraw consent at any time. A service enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to marketing.

4. Introductions and sharing

4.1 If you ask us to explore an opportunity, we may share relevant property or buying criteria with a prospective counterparty only after explaining what will be shared and obtaining appropriate authority. We may share data with booking, website, hosting, CRM, email, video meeting, payment and professional service providers acting under suitable arrangements, and with regulators or authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers and security

5.1 Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that occurs, we use an applicable UK adequacy decision or an appropriate transfer safeguard and any required risk assessment. We restrict access to people who need the information and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

6. How long we keep information

6.1 We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not proceed are periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Contract, transaction, accounting and compliance records may be retained for applicable legal periods and for the time reasonably needed to address claims. Marketing preferences are retained until withdrawal, with a minimal suppression record where needed to honour an opt out. We review the periods we keep information as our services and legal duties change.

7. Cookies and analytics

7.1 Essential cookies may support site operation and security. Any non-essential analytics, advertising or similar storage will be explained in a cookie notice and used only in accordance with your cookie choice. You can change that choice through the website cookie controls when implemented.

8. Your rights and complaints

8.1 Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to certain uses. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes

9.1 We may update this notice when our services or systems change. The current version will be made available on our website.
